The Girls' Book of Success

“What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of a human being, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the wrongs of the injured.” - Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)

Last nite I stumbled across an article about perfectionism. What was mentioned, if I remembered correctly is, ..."Perfectionism is a disease.." and that "perfectionists are more likely to be unhappy with their work because delegating is nearly impossible if you are a perfectionist. And they are more likely to have social problems because people mired in details cannot look up and notice the nuances of what matters to other people...." hmm how true to the core....so am I healing??!! *scratch my head*

Here's my girls' book of success; for now and more to come...I hope. You know what, Nylie has won GOLD for her 200m run and that is one achievement!! though she did not do well in her science test but hey, nobody is perfect. My advise for Nylie - we can be optimistic in whatever we do....move on and see what you can learn from it.

Ili reminded me about updating my blog and here's one for her. She is currently reading "The Girls' Book of Success", I applaud her for reading it. I personally think the book is a huge success at motivating gals like her ;-P

For my princesses, believe in yourself. Life is not a rehearsal. If you want to try something - good ones only ok..., just do it and I believe success is that every little steps you make to achieve it. I have said it many times and will say it again....I am proud to be your mummy and will always be.

A quote by Barbara Langford Davis, Financial Advisor : "As you soar to new heights in life, remember that the altitude you reach will be determined not by your aptitude, but rather by your attitude."

Sweet dreams.............*wink*

Little Artist @ Work

Dyna is getting better today....well, better off than she was yesterday. Her body temperature at 0330hrs today was 38ÂșC. BUT she is up and running as I "blog".
I'd love to stay at home and watch Dyna's, Nylie's and Ili's interesting activities but nope, currently I do not have that privilege or luxury, someday...I hope ;-P and I am optimistic about that.........
I took another day, off from work and while I am at that, I took snapshots of my little artist @ work........

Meticulous artist in the making *;-O

Dyna's ingenious way of snacking and
painting.... Multi-tasking, you say?? Oh yes...a little break wont hurt...!!

Little artist's tools and another work done!!

I'll leave you with this to ponder :

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” ~ Ashley Smith

Off from work but NO off for this mum........

Dyna had fever this morning and I had to rush home from work, to monitor her temperature - hourly. Her temperature runs high up to 40 degrees at one stage and she fevered intermittently throughout the night. So I took a day off today and will see how tomorrow.

Picture of Dyna when she's up and running..............

Remember what I said about yesterday before Uyop left for work, he told us a hilarious story? You should have seen Uyop's expression!!

It's about how his boss told a colleague "Mr X" that "Mr X" is the 2nd most handsome guy in their department.

Being curious, "Mr X" asked his boss, "So who is the most handsome guy in this department??."

The boss replied : "All of Us!!"

Hmm, don't you think it's funny? Now, I wonder how "Mr X" feels afterwards.

I am currently accompanying Nylie who's doing her homeworks. Got to go check on Dyna too. Sweet dreams............. *;-P

Excuses......and Who Is The Most Handsome?

I told myself that I must take the photography course by April 2008 and you know what, it's April 2008 already - I have not even registered myself for the basic photography course.

But this is not really about the photography course. The point is that I create so many excuses for myself not to do what I should be doing. I know you must be thinking......."What's her excuse?"

Loads of them : The shooting location, the days the course is held, this month is just not right - the perceived activities - one too many, I will miss class.......how lame is that?

I kept that excuse chain together from the day I got my Canon EOS. In hindsight : I told myself the excuse for not going to the photography course was, all of the above but it wasn't really......it was more because I thought it's such a waste of fund when I already know how to shoot. That's what I thought.!!

Speaking of which, I am looking forward to looking at photograph of the most handsome guy at Uyop's department. Tonite, he will be using his mobile's camera to show us the guy he was talking about...one hilarious story he told us before he left for work.

Bedtime......*;-P
